Link of the day: Chicago's versions of poutine!

While Poutine is a truely Canadian dish, where you can find it at the local Burger King, family diners and pubs in almost every community in this country. The idea of poutine in the United States is weird - Americans who hear about it think it's a "heart attack on a plate." But remember, this is the same country that tries to make healthy food unhealthy, by deep frying the heck out of it.

Various Chicago restaurants have tried their own takes on the Canadian dish, and the Chicago Tribune reported about it several months ago. Check out the piece and tell me what you think!
